From Lanx, made from full grain oil pull-up leather 1.6–1.8mm thick, this Chelsea boot is built for all-season wear. The leather is treated with oils and waxes during tanning for natural water resistance; a breathable membrane lining lets vapour out without letting water in. Mounted on a Vibram all-terrain sole, it is light in weight and comfortable from the first wear with very little break-in time.

Wide fit available; runs true to size on all measurements.

Product Details

The Ribchester is built around oil pull-up leather — a full grain hide 1.6–1.8mm thick, treated with oils and waxes during the tanning process to make it naturally resistant to water. The distressed finish develops further character rather than deteriorating from use, becoming more distinctive as the leather absorbs the wearer's movement over time.

Construction sits on a Vibram rubber sole — designed for all-terrain grip and suitable on wet, icy, and uneven surfaces, with a non-scratch rubber compound that allows for indoor wear. Light in weight for its build, it asks for very little breaking in.

• Remove surface dirt after each wear with a soft brush or dry cloth

• Apply a leather cream or conditioner periodically to keep the upper supple and prevent cracking

• Allow to dry naturally away from direct heat sources — never force-dry near a radiator

• Use cedar shoe trees to maintain the shape during storage

• For water or salt marks, clean gently with a damp cloth and re-condition once dry
