Product Details

Moroccan architecture has always understood that the threshold matters as much as what lies beyond it. This photograph documents one such threshold: a pointed arch doorway framed in elaborately carved pale sandstone, the latticed stone surface continuing across the surrounding wall. The double doors are worked brass — dense geometric patterning across both panels, two matching knockers, a surface that speaks of accumulated time as much as craft.

The palette is warm and restricted: dusty sandstone, warm olive-gold, the faint shadow of carved relief. There is no vivid colour here — only tone and texture. This is what makes it so adaptable within a home. The warmth of Morocco is present without the saturated palette more familiar from travel photography.
