Kantha embroidery, a traditional folk art from Bengal, was originally used in Kantha quilts to revive worn-out textiles. This craft not only showcases intricate stitches and designs but also embodies artistic creativity.
We collaborate with a group of skilled kantha artisans in the Birbhum District of Bengal to create beautiful kantha-embroidered fabrics for our men's shirts. Women share stories and sewing tips, with older generations guiding the younger. They take great pride in their creations. We have recently started working with this group to help sustain their traditional technique. For centuries, women have passed down the skill of creating kantha through generations.
